K-12 tutoring · Coral Gables

The grade dropped. The reason is older.

A student failing quadratics is rarely failing quadratics. We find the year it stopped holding, and start there.

A grade fails at the top. The gap that caused it is usually years back.

Why another hour of homework help does not fix it

A grade that falls in October was usually decided in April

Every subject builds on the year before it. A student is rarely stuck on this week's chapter; they are stuck on something earlier that never quite set.

So tutoring that only covers this week's assignment keeps rebuilding on the same soft ground. The assessment exists to find the point underneath, and the schedule after it moves fast enough to catch the class rather than restarting the year.

Our approach

The fastest way to learn is to take your time

Review at widening intervals instead of cramming. Change the schedule and watch what a term of studying retains.

Cramming buys the test day. Spacing buys the year.

These curves model the shape of the spacing effect. They are illustrative, not measured student results.

Designed for student success

Focus-driven cubicles and smart tech

Our private cubicle layout eliminates visual distractions so students can focus entirely on their work. Each station has a large, interactive tablet that automatically saves all student and tutor notes.

Camera recording is available as an option. Where a family wants it, your student can get home and review both the visual work and the tutor's exact explanations.

Questions parents ask

How do you know where to start?

The free assessment. One session with your child, working through the subject until we find the point where it stops holding together.

Can I see what happens in a session?

If you want to, yes. Recording is optional, and where it is switched on you can review the session from home.

How many students do you take?

Ten at a time, one to one only. When the roster is full, it is full.

Do you help with homework, or with the gaps?

Both, in that order of urgency and reverse order of importance. Homework keeps the grade alive this month. The gaps are what decide next year.

Where are you?

5915 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, about a mile and a half from the University of Miami campus.

Ten seats. One could be your child's.

The assessment is free and takes one session. You will know more than another term of guessing would tell you.
